Patrons are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to performance time for ticket collection. Parking can sometimes be difficult, so please allow time to find a parking space and walk to the theatre.

How do I book tickets?

Tickets can be booked online, by phone or, if the performance is not sold out, at the door.

Book Online

Through our online ticketing system you may select your own seats and either print your tickets at home, or pick them up from the Erindale Theatre Ticket Desk on the night of the performance. You can also request the tickets be posted to you, which incurs a $2.50 postage fee.

Book by Phone

Phone bookings are available through Canberra Repertory Society on 6257 1950. Phone booking hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Tickets booked by phone incur a $2.50 fee and must be collected at the Erindale Theatre Ticket Collection Desk on the night of the performance. Print-at-home tickets and postage are not available for phone bookings.

Book at the Door

The Erindale Theatre box office is open from one (1) hour prior to each performance.
Ticket sales and collection of pre-purchased tickets are available during this time.

Latecomers arriving after 7:50pm wanting to purchase tickets on the night of the performance will be charged an administrative fee of $2.50.

Payment Options:
Credit card and cash payments are accepted at the box office. EFTPOS facilities are not available.
There is an ATM facility next door at the Erindale shopping centre - approximately 2-3 minutes walk from the theatre

Booking Philo Member Tickets

Philo members can buy their ticket at member rates. A code is required to book a ticket online at member rates. Members can email ticketing@philo.org.au for this code.

Booking Complimentary Tickets (Comps)

Comps must be booked by telephoning the number provided on your complimentary ticket invitation. Comps cannot be booked online or with Canberra Repertory Society. This includes combination bookings (comps and paid seats) which must be organised through the Comps manager.

Collecting Tickets

Pre-purchased tickets (booked by phone or online) are available for collection at the Erindale Theatre Ticket Collection Desk, which is open from one (1) hour prior to each performance.
Patrons are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show opening, as queues can be quite long.
There are no exchanges or refunds available on tickets which are uncollected.

Can I book now and pay later?

All tickets must be paid for at the time of booking. No tickets can be held pending later payment. Payment may be made by credit card when booking online or by telephone.

Can I make a group booking?

Group bookings can be made online, by phone or at the Erindale Theatre box office. Discounted tickets are available when 10 or more tickets are purchased in one booking. Should you need to add extra seats to an existing booking, they will be charged at the appropriate single-ticket rate.

Am I entitled to a concession?

Valid concessions are:

  • Full time student
  • Pensioner
  • Seniors
  • Health Care Card holders
  • Children 14-16 years (under 14 years is a child ticket)

Where is the theatre?

Erindale Theatre is located with Erindale College on McBryde Crescent, Wanniassa, near the Erindale Shops.

Is the show suitable for children?

The Boy from Oz is suitable for children over 16 years of age. A ticket must be purchased for any child over 18 months old.

How long is the show?

The show's running time will be available closer to the performance dates.

Is there an interval?

There is one interval of 20-minutes.

Is the orchestra pit being used?

Yes, the orchestra pit will be used for this production.

Are there any matinees (daytime shows)?

There are 2pm matinees on Saturday 21 August, Saturday 28 August and Saturday 4 September.

Is there wheelchair access at the theatre??

There are two wheelchair seats and one row of seats accessible without stairs. These seats must be booked by phone, and booking fees are waived for wheelchair seat bookings.

I can't go on the day I booked, can I change my tickets?

Tickets can be exchanged no later than two (2) business days prior to the performance by calling Canberra Repertory Society on 6257 1950. Exchanges incur a fee of $1.75 per ticket.

I can no longer come at all, can I get a refund?

Refunds are not available on any purchases, however tickets can be exchanged.

What fees are included in my booking?

All ticket prices include GST. Your booking may also include any combination of the following fees:

  • $2.50 (per booking) postage fee applies to online bookings where postage is requested
  • $2.50 (per booking) phone booking fee applies to tickets booked on the phone with Canberra Repertory Society
  • $1.75 (per ticket) ticket exchange fee applies to tickets exchanged to a different performance
